This data centre has permanent engineers continually monitoring and maintaining the system to ensure that it is available for you 24/7/365.

• Always the latest software - The minute you purchase a Telephone System, it becomes your responsibility to ensure that its software is kept up to date. This can involve regular visits from your maintainer, which usually come at a price, or you accept that your system is not going to be able take advantage of the benefits that come with new software releases. With a hosted solution, the central system always utilises the latest level of software available. As new features become available, your business can take advantage of the benefits straight away.

• Retain your local number wherever you move - if you move the location of your office, with an on-site telephone system you can only retain your regional telephone number (such as 02920, 01792 etc) as long as you move to an area served by the existing local exchange. With a hosted solution, your local numbers are connected to the central system meaning that you can keep your telephone number forever, regardless of the location of your office. This negates the need to pay for 0845 or 0870 numbers.

• Appearance of a presence in multiple towns - you can choose as many other area numbers as you want and route these to your one office, giving the appearance that you have a presence in many local towns.

For example, an estate agent that wants to appear as though they have offices in Cardiff, Bridgend, Swansea and Newport, but only have an office in Cardiff, could have numbers beginning 02920, 01656, 01792 and 01633 which all ring through to the Cardiff office. If the business expands and they open offices in some of these locations, the calls can be re-routed to these offices as and when they come on-line.

• Home or Remote Working - you can connect your IP phone to a DSL connection anywhere in the world and connect to your system. Incoming calls will be presented to your phone just as though you were in your office. Outgoing calls are charged at the same rate as if they were made from your office regardless of where you are in the World.

• Users can control their phone even if they are out of the office - the web server can be accessed from any PC connected to the internet. This enables users to change where their calls are routed to and dealt with, and enable or disable other features if they are unable to be in the office.

• All of the features can be accessed at any of your sites regardless of the number of extensions in use - one of the key benefits of this solution is that sites can be seamlessly integrated. All features are available at all sites, so even if you had an office with one extension, this extension would have all of the features that an office with 50 extensions would have.

• Hot-desking - users can log on to any phone in any of their offices. This brings their number and all the features of their usual phone to the phone they are using that day including their own voicemail box.

An office move with a hosted solution is as simple as arranging for a new line to be provisioned at the new office, whilst the existing handsets can be un-plugged from the old office and plugged in at the new location. No loss of service needs to occur as a user with a phone can remain in the old office until the phones have been setup in the new office.

• Perfect in the event of a disaster at one of your offices - if your company has multiple offices and one of them suffers a disaster, all numbers to this office can be diverted using the web interface to one of your other offices.

If you have a single office, again using the web interface, you can choose whether to route the calls to mobiles, different landlines, voicemail or auto-attendant, or if you can get to the phones in your office, you can take these to any other location that has broadband and we can get these up and running very quickly.
